Colossians 3:1-8 (NIV)

1 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is your[a] life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

5 Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature:sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.
6 Because of these, the wrath of God is coming.[b]
7 You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. 8 But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.

Colossians 3:14 (NIV)

14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

1 Corinthians 6:9-12 (NIV)

Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with mena] 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

12 “I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but I will not be mastered by anything.

Psalm 130:3-4 (NIV)

If you, Lord, kept a record of sins,
    Lord, who could stand?
But with you there is forgiveness,
so that we can, with reverence, serve you.

Psalm 130:7 (NIV)

7 Israel, put your hope in the Lord,
for with the Lord is unfailing love
and with him is full redemption

Luke 23:34 (NIV)

34 Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”a] And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.

Questions:

1. Is it a possibility that I might be stuck in unforgiveness?

2. Is it a possibility that my life might be nearly ornamental?

3. Is it a possibility that in my heart I am bitter, angry, or resentful towards someone in my past?
